World Rose Day is celebrated every year on September 22 to spread awareness about cancer and send a positive message to all cancer patients to fight against the disease. It is celebrated in the memory of Melinda Rose, a 12-year old girl who had a rare blood cancer called Askin’s Tumor. She defeated doctor’s predictions of not living more than a couple of weeks and lived for six more months making each day count and meaningful.
