Bergenfield Public Library, Englewood Public Library, Fort Lee Public Library, Hackensack’s Johnson Public Library, and Teaneck Public Library have partnered to host authors and scholars A. Kirsten Mullen and William Darity, Jr. for a virtual discussion of their book. From Here to Equality examines the economic divide between black and white Americans and makes a comprehensive case for how a reparations program for U.S. descendants of slavery could close that gap. The beginning of a new year is a great time to set some lifestyle changes for yourself. The Bingo board is a guide to small wellness changes you can make that go a long way. Winter Reading Challenge
Monday, January 4 – Friday, February 26th for all ages
Join the Winter Reading Challenge! Print a log sheet (https://bccls.libcal.com/event/7315216) to track your activities. Complete at least five activities to be entered in the raffle! The winner will receive a $25 gift card to a place of their choosing and a prize bundle. Please take a picture of the completed log sheet and send it to jplkids@johnsonlib.org no later than February 26th.
Winter StoryWalk
January 4th – 31st – for all ages
Throughout the entire month of January, kids can read a winter-themed story while they walk around the library. A page will be found in a different location around the building, beginning in our rock garden at the Main Street entrance. StoryWalk® is an interactive outdoor exhibit that turns reading into an adventure without electronic devices!

Available for pick-up at the Circulation Desk during library hours – for all ages
Pick up a different set of activity kits every week! We will have free take-home crafts for all ages, along with coloring sheets & crayons and STEM activities. Supplies will be available on a first come, first served basis.
