PISCATAWAY, NJ — Many inspiring stories were born during the pandemic including the story of first time author and mom, Nacia Jackson of Piscataway.
Jackson’s new book, “In the Middle of a Pandemic: A Pregnancy Journey” focuses on her life as she navigates through the global pandemic while expecting her first child.
She explains how the pandemic drastically challenged her expectations and explains how it affected her mental health. She touches on mental health, drive by baby showers, solo doctor appointments and having to have only one support person in the hospital room.

“This experience has taught me so much about myself. I have a greater appreciation for the many women in my life,” said Jackson.
“Carrying a child is one thing, but carrying a child during these crazy times is another,” she continued. “Though this was not how I expected my first pregnancy to be during a global pandemic, I can say that having my baby has made this pandemic a bit brighter.”
