Verizon Business announced it is teaming with Deloitte to co-innovate 5G and mobile edge computing (MEC) solutions for manufacturing and retail, and ultimately expand to other sectors. The companies plan to create solutions to serve client-specific needs using Deloitte’s industry and solution engineering expertise combined with Verizon’s advanced mobile and private enterprise wireless networks, 5G Edge MEC platform, IoT, Software Defined-Wide Area Network (SD-WAN), and VNS Application Edge capabilities. Additionally, the companies are collaborating on solutions to transform manufacturers into “real-time enterprises” with real-time intelligence and business agility.
Infor announced a global strategic partnership with MphRx to help healthcare organizations drive vaccine management for the novel Coronavirus. COVID-19 vaccines are complex deployments for health organizations, requiring management of multiple-dose delivery and symptom monitoring. The partnership brings together two best-in-breed platforms to deliver what is critically needed today. The integrated and comprehensive enterprise solution for healthcare organizations to address three main challenges in digital transformation, including COVID-19 demands to provide seamless omnichannel patient experience, drive care coordination, and streamline interoperability. Specifically, Minerva aggregates data from across healthcare information systems and transforms it into a single, unified, FHIR-based patient record – a digital pathway to a new world of omnichannel care. Complimenting this capability, Infor Cloverleaf Integration Suite streamlines the exchange of clinical data to help improve healthcare outcomes and business operations.
mimik technology, Inc. announced it is collaborating with IBM to build AI-enabled collaborative workflow solutions designed to help accelerate automation and digital transformation across manufacturing, retail, IoT, and healthcare. mimik’s hybrid edgeCloud platform transforms cloud applications from a fixed client-server architecture to a fully distributed architecture, enabling “client” devices to act as servers. Through this relationship, mimik intends to extend IBM Edge Application Manager’s management of IoT and edge devices, and support for edge clusters by enabling the deployment of containerized workloads to mobile devices running on iOS, Android, QNX, and Windows.
Cognizant acquired Inawisdom, a
UK-based consultancy specializing in artificial intelligence, machine learning,
and data analytics. Inawisdom focuses on delivering cloud-native, full-stack
solutions leveraging proven consulting methodologies, and an analytics and
machine learning platform built using Amazon Web Services (AWS). Inawisdom has
developed the Rapid Analytics and Machine Learning Platform (RAMP), based on
AWS cloud technology, to provide a continually evolving and reusable code
repository and accelerate AI-driven business outcomes. Cognizant will use the
acquisition to help Cognizant help businesses make better, faster decisions
that improve business outcomes.
Vectorspace AI in partnership with CloudQuant announced the availability of datasets that reveal relationships between global equity products. Vectorspace AI datasets are designed to boost precision, accuracy, signal, or alpha based on Natural Language Processing and Understanding (NLP/NLU) using the VXV utility token wallet-enabled API. The algorithmically generated datasets are based on formal NLP/NLU models including OpenAI’s GPT-3, Google’s BERT along with word2vec and experimental models built at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and the US Dept. of Energy (DOE).
GIGABYTE announced it is one of the founding members of MLCommons, an open engineering consortium with the goal of accelerating machine learning with benchmarking, large-scale open data sets, and best practices that are community-driven. With MLCommons, collaboration across countries, industries, and research institutions into the dynamic field of machine learning can lead to greater progress in healthcare and other industries.
AITRICS announced VitalCare, an early detection and prevention management solution for use in Intensive Care Units (ICU). VitalCare is a suite of software that monitors the electronic medical records of a patient in real-time. Therefore, it detects and prognoses potential risks involving an acute form of pyelonephritis, pulmonary embolism, sudden cardiac arrest, or sepsis in advance to mitigate or significantly reduce the rate of mortality. At the core, it enables an “Uncertainty-Aware” attention mechanism using a proprietary artificial intelligence engine. It consists of unique Bayesian Deep Learning and Meta-Learning techniques. These techniques are employed to accomplish high accuracy in an uncertainty model development with a minimum data learning intervention.
